I’m very happy to say that I’ve finally finished my degree in music! The culmination of experiences and memories throughout earning this degree have been life changing. From my first college band experience at Lamar University, to auditioning for Monarch Independent not knowing what exactly WGI was, then stumbling into an orchestral festival (while making every mistake possible). Then after another year of band, band, and more band… I ended up at Kent State.

Coming hot (literally) off of tour with Santa Clara Vanguard, I moved from Texas all the way up to an apartment in Kent, Ohio, having never set foot in the apartment because I was across the country doing band. It wasn’t nearly as scary of an experience as most would think, but I certainly had my share of anxiety from the various roles I needed to fill at Kent. In a time of immense (and intense) growing and learning, I persevered and continued to build both my resume and musical foundations that I’ll have with me for the rest of my life.
